Pet Endoscopy
At Fairview Animal Hospital, we have the endoscopic capability for both gastrointestinal and respiratory applications. Our video endoscopes have been very valuable in helping to diagnose and treat our patients.
During endoscopy, your veterinarian will insert the endoscope into your pet’s mouth and then guide it through the esophagus, stomach, and intestines. The camera will send live images of the inside of your pet’s digestive system to a monitor, allowing your veterinarian to look for any abnormalities.
Pet endoscopy is generally well tolerated by pets and provides valuable information about the health of their digestive system. This procedure can be used to diagnose a wide variety of conditions, including gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal tumors, and more.
