DOCTORS

Dr. Jessie Gammel
University of Tennessee
College of Veterinary Medicine
I am originally from Denver, CO and came to Knoxville to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine from UT. When not caring for our furry clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband, sons and menagerie of pets. I also love to spend time outdoors.
I have a special interest in animal behavior and helping our patients be as stress-free as possible during visits to our office, as well as focusing on preventative care and weight-loss management. I love working with this amazing team of doctors and staff here at Fairview Animal Hospital.

Dr. Lucy Music
University of Georgia
College of Veterinary Medicine
I enjoy exploring the beautiful mountains around us, snuggling with my chihuahuas and knitting or reading a good book. My favorite part about working at Fairview Animal Hospital is working with all the wonderful people and pets here!

Dr. Nealy James
University of Tennessee
College of Veterinary Medicine
I am from Middle, TN, and attended the University of Tennessee for undergraduate and veterinary school. In my free time, I enjoy riding my horse “Goose”, camping and hiking, eating Mexican food, and spending time with my husband and furry family! I am a self-proclaimed crazy cat lady and am passionate about feline medicine. I also enjoy geriatric care, anesthesia, and pain management.

Becca K, Lead Assistant
As an animal lover and advocate, the most rewarding part of her job is tending to our critical care cases. Whether it’s a surgery patient, a hospitalized patient with chronic illness, or experiencing an urgent crisis, her whole heart goes into nursing your fur babies back to health.
Becca also loves radiology, small animal dentistry, and assisting in general and orthopedic surgeries.
In her free time, she enjoys sports (Go Vols!), writing, painting, listening to music, and spending lots of time outside—especially sunny days on the lake!

Miranda, Head CSR
Miranda is a native of Maryville, TN. She has always had a love for animals, especially cats. Her coworkers have diagnosed her as ‘the crazy cat lady.’ When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 kids, and 6 cats (yes, SIX!) She loves being able to care for your pets here at FAH.

Esme
I moved from Chicago to TN about two years ago to be more connected to nature. I brought along two cats that I rescued from the streets. That grew my love for animals even more. I have my own jewelry business that is cat themed. I hope in the near future to donate that money to organizations. I’m excited for the opportunity given here at FAH as I get a chance to learn, grow, and connect more with animals.
